VCCA Fellows to Read in Lynchburg May 30

Image
If you're in town May 30th, please join us for a poetry reading featuring west coast poets Ellen Bass , Dorianne Laux and Joe Millar , who are currently in residence. They will read from their work at Givens Book s in Lynchburg, Friday, May 30, 7 p.m. during an evening of “Making Friends for Poetry.” The reading is free and open to the public and is followed by an opportunity to meet the poets and enjoy refreshments. At once separate and part of the larger community, the VCCA looks for ways to connect the community to the important works of literature, music and art that are created here, and which nourish us all. The reading is a natural collaboration between one of the nation’s premier artist communities and Lynchburg’s premiere independent bookstore. Hope to see you there! Photo: Dorianne Laux
