How To Fund A Vision: The National Yardstick Yard Sale

TURN A YARDSTICK INTO AN ARTWORK
AND HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR
VCCA'S ALONZO DAVIS FELLOWSHIP

Alonzo Davis is inviting artists from around the country to participate in The National Yardstick Yard Sale (Fund A Vision With Yardsticks).

The Fund A Vision kick off event and sale of yardsticks as art objects will be held at Alonzo's Mount Ranier, Maryland, studio on Saturday, November 16th. All funds raised will go toward VCCA's Alonzo Davis Fellowship.

The Alonzo Davis Fellowship supports outstanding artists, writers and composers who are Americans of African or Latino descent. Each year, one of these exceptional people is awarded a two-week residency at VCCA so they can focus completely on their art, writing or music. When fully funded, the Alonzo Davis Fellowship will support two artists each year with a two-week residency.

Alonzo Davis has been a VCCA Fellow since 1995 and is a former VCCA Board member. He is the inspiration for, and a tremendous supporter of, this endowed fellowship.
