Eyerly’s "Arlington Sons" to Be Performed in Washington DC Area

Scott Eyerly’s Arlington Sons will be performed four times in the Washington DC area, including at Arlington National Cemetery's Women in Military Service Memorial on September 21 at 2:00 PM. On this occasion, the US Air Force Band will perform the chamber version with piano and cello.

All performances will feature Broadway and Metropolitan Opera star David Pittsinger and his son Richard who originally sang the piece as a gifted boy soprano, and now sings baritone. It is most appropriate that a father and son are performing the piece as Arlington Sons tells the story of a father who brings his young son to Arlington National Cemetery to witness the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Two additional USAF performances, using the orchestral version, will be presented targeted at children and seniors, on September 25 (10:30 AM and 7:30 PM) at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts, Maryland.

On October 11, Arlington Sons will be performed at the distinguished Society of the Honor Guard/Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (SHGTUS) 2014 reunion at Arlington.

The chamber version of Arlington Sons is now available for download on CD Baby and iTunes. A CD version will be available next month.
